Mancave with a twist.

When most people think of mancaves, their thoughts are of dark and cold basements. Probably with bad lighting and the decoration to match, with smells of stale cigars and old beer.

Nothing like that here! There is a little over 1200 sq. ft. of man space, with enough style to make the woman in your life happy as well. In the finish we added a bedroom, bathroom and rec room with a full wet bar. Recessed lighting with dimmers throughout the addition makes it easy to control light and dark when the need arises. There are two sports memorabilia niches in the extra wide hallway as you turn the corner into the rec room. The rec itself has an HD theater-style projection system with 100 inch screen with pre-wired 7.1 surround sound. To the right of screen are built in media shelves with discreet tube for all those wires.
The bar has hand-made log style countertops, custom cabinets in rustic cherry, and 18"x18" tile floor. There is even enough room for a poker table in the corner. It also has a built-in pony keg-erator on the left and compact fridge on the right. The c-top was actually built around the keg tap for a really cool finished look. Bedroom is pretty standard, 120 sq.ft. with closet that has bypass doors. The bathroom has access to the rec and bed via pocket doors. The bath is 80 sq.ft. with a tile floor, pedestal sink and tile shower with a glass door. The small scale setup allows complete functionality without feeling cramped.
KSI would like to thank the homeowner again for the chance to help them achieve the ultimate addition, to their already beautiful house.
I personally would like to thank my wonderful sub-contractors, who did, as always a wonderful job. Electrical - Adam Akeo, Luna Drywall, Marathon P&H and Browns HVAC.
