Black Forest Remodel

This remodel starts with a bedroom suite. The bedroom entry was redesigned to add a walk-in closet, space saving pocket door and widen both hallways inside/outside the room. The view on the left is from the bedroom towards the closet with the bath on the left and pocket door on the right. The old loop Berber carpet came out and replaced it with a lovely dark mocha cut Pyle. The homeowner wanted a more traditional look for the doors and trim. So we got solid 6 panel doors and framed them with rosettes, fluted casing and plinths. We finished the walls with the stately look of 5 3/4" base and inside/outside corners. All the wood was professionally stained, sealed and urethaned. We replaced all the old plastic electric covers with Oil rubbed bronze metal ones. Now, the bath had a one piece fiberglass shower insert, lino, cultured marble tops and an oak vanity....... we gutted it and started over. We added an electric in-floor heating mat. Then covered it with a wood look ceramic tile. Replaced the old vanity and toilet with new matching bone colored pedestal and toilet from Toto. The shower has a waterproof Schluter shower system, ceramic tile floor to ceiling and an euro-style glass door. We opted for the modular closet fixtures for the versatility.
